Most jobs take about one week from start to finish, but we’ll be able to give you an accurate estimate for your specific project once we determine the scope of the work.
We recommend staying out of the house until after the sanding process is complete. We’ll tell you how long it will take so you can make plans to return.
No. For the job to turn out correctly, you’ll need to stay off of the floors until we’re done.
It’s important to let the floor dry and cure, so we recommend waiting at least three days to put your furniture back onto the floors and at least one week to put rugs back.
It depends on how well you take care of your floors. With proper care and maintenance, you can expect your floor finish to last up to 10 years. People with kids and pets, especially dogs with longer nails, and those who don’t maintain their floors may need to have them refinished or recoated more often.
Absolutely. We can show you different stain colors and help you choose the right one for your floor. We’ll even put samples on the floor so you can see which colors work best with your interior lighting.
There is a bit of a smell after refinishing, but it’s not strong and it only lasts a few days. The old oil finishing process used to be very smelly, but the materials we use now are safe to breathe and have less of an odor.
